I Love Sanchez Jets Mittens

Darlings,

I made these cozy mitts as my sister-in-law's birthday present. You might have guessed, she is a HUGE Mark Sanchez (#6) fan, and she likes the NY Jets too. For those who do not have the IMMENSE pleasure of having a football fan as a husband, the Jets are one of the two New York football teams (the other being the Giants) and Mark Sanchez is their good looking Quaterback.
I have to make a pair for my man too now; he wanted to steal his sister's. I refused, however, to contribute to his man crush by making his pair identical to these. Sigh, you gotta love football, right? 1 match game = 1 new mitten.

Halloween Costume

 Darlings,

What are you dressing up as for Halloween?

I was thinking of going as a flower. Mainly because it requires very little material and little time to make but I haven't gotten there yet.

This is my preliminary sketch, still playing around with the concept. I'll post the official picture of my costume after Halloween.

So what are you wearing?

Cheers!

NYC Street Fashion 1

Darling,

Direct, unaltered scan from my notebook. Sorry about the messy look, its a fast sketch done with ball point pen. I know some can do great things under the same circumstances but I'm not there yet. I added a bit of colour with crayons when I got home. Haven't touched it since.
I saw this girl and her outfit in the 3-train heading uptown on October 5th. She looked so comfortable in her moss green sweater dress and purple tights. I like how she layered a black vest over her shall neck dress. Her vintage looking black booties gave her a unique look.

What do you think?

Cheers!

Day 1 in the Fashion Blogosphere

Darling,

Fashion like yoga, and science allows to capture the interests of all kinds of people; everyone can find his or her perfect blend.
I've been blogging for almost a year now, starting off with a Nature Blog (Purple Carrots and Fairy Smoke) and then a Yoga Blog (Wolf Yoga). Both these blogs were started and are maintained mainly to encourage my continuing education and enlightenment; they represent two facets of my life. To complete the picture, I needed to add fashion into the mix. I knit, I sew, I crochet, I dabble at jewelry making, and I compulsively jot down sketches of great outfits I see and think up in a day dream.

After a great deal of thought, here is the first step into the World Wide Web of Love Garden Design.

Here's what's on the menu :

Fashion Sketches
Personal Projects
Love Garden Designs
Tutorials

I hope that this blog will inspire you to exercise your creativity and  rethink your wardrobe. As for me, it will surely do much to improve my sketching style and speed, and hopefully project completion percentage.

P.S. To my readers of Purple Carrots and Fairy Smoke and Wolf Yoga that have followed me to this new adventure, thank you, I hope you enjoy!

Cheers!
